Introduction to Adaptation

19-20 July 2016: Tzaneen (2 days)

10-11 August 2016: King Williams Town (2 days)

A 2-day training course that provides grounding in climate change adaptation, including climate science and information, participatory adaptation approaches and examples from practice.

The learning methodology is experiential and interactive and is aimed at practitioners, activists, scientists and government officials wanting to learn more about how to design and facilitate adaptation for vulnerable communities.

Forum Theater for Adaptation

28-29 July 2016: Cape Town (2 days)

Forum Theater also known as "Theater of the Oppressed" will be used to experientially explore challenges experienced in adaptation practice. This 2-day course will allow all participants to act out real challenges and find ways of potentially resolving them. It is important to attend both dates. No prior acting skills are required.

Aaptation Retreat: A journey of discovery

19-22 September 2016: Nieuwoudtville (4 days)

This retreat is aimed at more experienced adaptation practitioners who would like to reflect on their practice and explore innovative approaches and reflective spaces. The retreat will include some reflection in nature, course modules taught by community members and facilitation training.
